A double tragedy occurred last week at Igbawere village of Kwara state
where a student fell into a well and died alongside a man who attempted
to save his life.
A student, Akojede Sodeeq, and a man who tried to rescue him have both died inside a well at Igbawere village, Offa LGA of Kwara state.
Sodeeq, a National Diploma 1 student studying Business Management at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, was fetching water when he fell into the well, located beside the institution.
The student gathered that a local man who attempted to rescue him also fell into the well and died.
The double tragedy has left the entire community troubled.
Media reports described the deceased student as ‘gentle with a lot of drive.’
