Words of Inspiration #4 - Stoping Wasting With Worry
“Don’t waste your life in doubts and fears: spend yourself
on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour’s
duties will be the best preparation for the hours or ages that follow it.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Stoping Wasting With Worry
We’ve all been there. Thinking about what will happen next
and will it work out. Concerned about what we can’t control. Loosing faith in
our plans, goals and dreams. Believing that the worst case scenario will
happen, just because we can’t stop thinking about.
Did you know that over 98% of our thoughts are the same
exact thoughts from yesterday. How about that over 60% of our over 60,000
thoughts per day are negative.
Just because we’re thinking it doesn’t make it true, real or
practical.
The vast majority of what we worry about never plays out in
real life.
Worrying can be an endless loop and we need to make a
declaration to stand up to it and let it go.
One question I often ask myself is, “How long will I allow
myself to worry about this?” One hour? 5 hours? 1 day? 1 week?
How long will you allow yourself to be mentally tortured.
You think it’s hard to let it go…it’s even harder to hold on
to it!
Don’t allow your worry and fear to control and overwhelm
you.
Many times the act of worrying and being fearful is worse
than the actual thing we are afraid of!
Focus on what you can control and maximize that. How you
dress, how you speak to people, what you read, what you listen to, who you call
and reach out too, what you eat and at what time you go to bed. Focus on what
you can control and let that bring peace and positivity into your life.
Live with Power.
